Behavioral intelligence for men 22–30

Know when you're at risk.
Not after.

Firmhold finds the hours, days and triggers your own relapses cluster around, then tells you when you're inside that window. Backfill what you already remember and your first pattern can be ready today.

No streak counter No shame framing Never sold, never AI-processed

Every other app is solving the wrong problem.

You don't fail because you lack willpower. You fail because you can't see the pattern.

Streak apps

The number resets to zero.

You relapse on day 11. The app punishes you. You feel shame, avoid the app, nothing changes. The pattern that caused the relapse is still invisible.

Motivation apps

Motivation fades by Tuesday.

Day 1 you're fired up. Day 4 you relapse at 11pm after a stressful week. The app has no idea why. You're back to square one with no new information.

Generic advice

"Just avoid your triggers."

Great tip. But nobody told you that your trigger is Thursday evenings when stress is above a 3, not social media or boredom. Firmhold does.

Accountability apps

It reports you to a person.

Covenant Eyes and similar apps send what you do to a person you choose. That's the design. But you can't be honest with a tool someone is watching, exactly when it matters most.

Three steps. No complicated program.

Built for the version of you that has 20 seconds, not the one that has 20 minutes.

01

Log in 20 seconds

Did you relapse, or survive an urge? What time? Were you stressed? That's it. No journaling, no essays. Just the raw data that drives the insight.

02

Firmhold analyzes

After 15 entries, the pattern engine runs. It cross-references your times, days, stress levels, and triggers to find what's actually driving your cycle.

03

Understand why

"Historically, 71% of your relapses happen between 10pm and 1am." Now you can prepare. Build a plan around your actual pattern, not a guess.

What you actually get.

Tools built around the moment of relapse, not the motivated morning you download an app.

Pro

Pattern Insights

Your personalized risk report.

After 15 entries, the pattern engine runs. Peak risk times. Highest-risk days. Your dominant trigger. Built entirely from your own data, not generic addiction advice.

Behavioral Calendar

Not a streak. A map.

A visual month-view of when you struggled and when you survived. No number that resets to zero, no shame when you log a relapse. It's just another data point on the map.

Panic Button

Free. Forever. No paywall.

A 3-minute grounding exercise when you're struggling right now, anchored to your personal reason for changing. Paywalled apps take this away when you cancel. Ours doesn't.

Pro

Financial Bleed

Know the real cost.

See exactly what the habit is costing you per month: subscriptions, lost productivity, whatever you told us at onboarding. Data makes the abstract feel concrete.

Pro

Time Recovered

Hours back in your life.

Tracked independently from Financial Bleed: the hours you estimated the habit was costing you per month, recovered and counted up as you go.

The relapses you're least motivated to log, logged anyway.

The behavior most worth recording is exactly what you're most motivated to hide. Firmhold Companion closes that gap.

Ambient activityYour pattern

Noticed

Thu 10pm–1am is your highest-risk window

Runs quietly

Notices real time on a site you chose. Nothing else.

You decide

A moment appears in your dashboard. Nothing is saved until you confirm it.

Never surveillance

No page content and no browsing history ever leaves your device.

Share your progress. On your terms.

An accountability partner, a therapist, a friend: send them a link, not your account.

Create a link in one tap

Pick a date range (last 30 days, last 90 days, or all time) and generate a shareable link from Settings.

Set an expiry, or don't

Links can expire in 7 days, 30 days, or never. You choose, and nothing lingers longer than you want it to.

Revoke it whenever you want

One tap and the link stops working immediately. No waiting, no email support ticket.

Anonymous by design

Shared pages show only aggregate counts and an activity grid. No triggers, no notes, no personal details. Ever.

How the pattern engine actually works.

No magic, no black box. Every step is something you could read the code for.

01

You log

A relapse or a survived urge, timestamped. No essays, no journaling, just the raw signal the pattern engine needs.

02

Rules run, not a model

Deterministic heuristics (day of week, time of day, stress level, trigger) cross-reference your entries. No black box, no AI making a judgment call.

03

Confidence, not guesswork

Patterns only surface once there's enough data. Under 15 entries, nothing is shown. Every insight carries a confidence label: Early signal, Moderate, or Strong pattern.

04

Plain English, generated fresh

The sentence you read is built from structured data the moment you open the page, not stored prose. Change the underlying data, and the sentence changes with it.

Pattern analysis runs on our own servers using only your data. No AI, no third-party processing, ever.

This isn't a hypothetical concern. In 2026, a misconfigured database at a competing recovery app (Quittr) exposed the data of a reported 600,000+ users, including free-text confessions, after researchers say they warned the company for months (404 Media). We can't promise no system ever fails. What we can tell you is exactly what we do: row-level access control on every table, no third-party AI processing, and no behavioural data leaving our database.

On the science: compulsive sexual behaviour disorder is formally recognised by the WHO (ICD-11, 2022), though that diagnosis deliberately excludes distress arising purely from moral disapproval of your own habits. We don't claim to treat a disorder. Firmhold measures your behaviour and shows you the pattern in it.

You wouldn't shame a diabetic for their blood sugar reading. The data isn't the problem. It's information. Every entry you log makes the pattern clearer.

We're not building a shame spiral. We're building a map.

Common questions

Everything you'd want to know before trusting us with this.

Why do I keep relapsing even when I feel motivated?

Relapse cycles are behavioral, driven by time of day, stress levels, emotional state, and specific triggers that compound. Motivation is a poor defense against a deeply wired pattern, because motivation is highest when you don't need it and lowest when you do. Firmhold works the other way round: it finds the specific hours and days your own relapses cluster in, then tells you when you're inside that window, while you're in it rather than afterwards. You can't out-willpower a pattern you can't see, but you can plan around one you can.

How is Firmhold different from Brainbuddy or other NoFap apps?

Brainbuddy and similar apps are built around streak counting, a number that resets to zero every time you relapse. Firmhold doesn't have a streak. Instead, it analyzes your behavioral data over time and delivers insights like 'Thursday nights after 10pm are your highest-risk window based on 47 entries.' That's something you can act on. A reset counter isn't.

How is Firmhold different from Covenant Eyes or other accountability apps?

Covenant Eyes, Ever Accountable and similar apps work by sending what you do to a person you choose, an accountability partner. That's the entire mechanism, and it helps people who have someone safe to nominate. Firmhold does the opposite: nobody sees your activity, including us. It computes the pattern behind your relapses with fixed rules on our own servers and shows the result to nobody but you. Different tools for different situations, not a replacement for one another.

What should I do when I feel an urge right now?

Open the Panic Button. It's free and never requires a subscription. It takes you through a 3-minute grounding exercise anchored to your personal reason for changing. It won't make the urge disappear, but it creates distance between the impulse and the action. Distance is where the decision happens.

How many entries do I need before seeing insights?

15 entries, a threshold enforced in the code, not a guideline. Below it you're shown nothing, because a pattern drawn from ten data points isn't a pattern, it's a coincidence with a chart. After 15 the engine runs automatically, and every insight carries its own confidence level, so you can tell an early signal from a settled one. You don't have to spend a month logging in real time to get there either: a 30-day backfill lets you enter the relapses and urges you already remember, so your first report can be ready the day you sign up.

What happens to my data?

Your data lives in your account and is never sold or shared. The pattern analysis runs on our servers using only your logs. No third-party AI models process your entries. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time.

Does the Companion extension spy on my browsing?

No. It checks your open tabs locally, including ones open in the background rather than just the one you're looking at, to notice sites you've chosen to monitor. It never reads page content and never uploads your full browsing history. The only thing that ever leaves your device is the domain, duration, and time of a detected session on a site you picked, and nothing is saved to your history until you confirm what actually happened.

Is there a free version?

Yes. Unlimited logging, the 30-day behavioral calendar, your daily risk status, and the Panic Button are free forever, with no trial expiry and no feature removal. What Pro adds is the reasoning: why your risk is what it is today, your full pattern report after 15 entries, Financial Bleed and Time Recovered, and 6-month history ($9.99/month or $99.99/year).
